What does CT Art have going for it, that the tactical positions sorted by
openings so that you can study ones that appear in the openings you play,
that are found on www.wtharvey.com doesn't have?

Thanks,
Ken

I have no judgement about that site. Tactical exercises are always good.

CT Art doesn't consider openings, but tactical themes, which is the correct
way to approach a tactics study. It doesn't matter in what opening you'll
find a tactical theme; you don't have to recognize the opening, but the
tactical situation evolving.

Properly recognizing the tactical theme will give you the possible kill, not
that it might occur in the Polish Dickerdack Variation of the Sicilian
Gambit with 37...Nh5!

Oh, come on. In this modern age of `Informator' and internet
databases, everyone knows that 29.Na8!! refutes the whole Polish
Dickerback variation. Nobody plays that stuff any more.

Now it makes sense why my opponent looked up in surprise to me the other
day!

But I had him with the standard 52.Ra1+ transposition when it came to the
Kenian Declined anyway, so it seems I was saved by the bell.

Everyone knows that David Richerby, using advanced algorithims derived from
a deep study of information theory, analysed that line to be a dead draw
after move 69. He's truly a child of Blechly Park.
