Unlike many chess-related videos, this one appears to depict a game
actually played according to the rules, with a modicum of skill. As
far as I can make out, the moves are:

1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 Nf6 5. Qe2 b5 6. Bb3 Be7 7. c3 O-
O 8. O-O d5 9. exd5 Nxd5 10. Nxe5 Nf4 11. Qe4 Nxe5 12. Qxa8 Qd3 13.
Bd1 Bh3 14. Qxa6 Bxg2 15. Re1 Qf3 16. Bxf3 Nxf3#

Which, with the possible exception of the last two moves, matches
Roesch-Schlage, Hamburg Hauptturnier-B, 1910.

Mao is much much funnier. The scriptwriter for the Schlage game has

Ah, yes, checking Bob Basalla's "Chess In the Movies" (reviewed
here: http://www.chesscafe.com/text/review533.pdf), I see that the
Roesch-Schlage game was indeed featured in Kubrick's "2001." Basalla
spends about a page and a half on the film, much more than most
entries in his book.
Apparently many people have tried to read a lot of symbolism into
Kubrick's choice of game and its presentation in the film. For
example, the computer HAL announces its 15th move as "queen to bishop
3," which in descriptive notation is incorrect =97 it should be "queen
to bishop 6." Some have claimed this mistake foreshadows HAL's later
"mental breakdown." Concerning Schlage, the person actually playing
Black in the original game, some point out that he later became
Reichstrainer for the Greater German Chess Federation, and thus his
name foreshadows the evil that HAL later does.

I believe White is busted after 12.Qxa8??. Instead 12.d4 is
necessary.

Sir, what a great idea.

I think GetClub should design such chess board. they people will enjoy
the game better.

But GetClub is in 2-D It would be better to see pieces fighting with
each other.

My imagination is poor any one with good idea how I could put such
animation at GetClub?
