Subject: Looking for a chess quote
I once read a quote (though I could be mistaken) in an old chess book that
in the 1930's the Sicilian Defense was refered to by the Europeans or
Russians (No sure which) as the "America's defense" as to make sport (fun
of) the American masters who were playing it.

Any help in finding this source would be greatful.

Yes, that me with my coach and friend IM Nikolay Andrianov.
I must say it's not a very flattering pic now is it?

Hey I played in that I think. I did horribly LOL. Not good to mix partying
in Vegas at night with chess the next morning. I had a great time though
meeting a lot of folks including Tom Klem. He goes a bit ballistic here on
rgcp sometimes but reminded me of an overstuffed teddybear IRL.
