Earlier you had only one choice to play Chess with Computer at

Now you can play with human opponents as well. There are Four Levels
available

The Beginner
The Easy
The Normal
The Advance

And if you want a real Match you can play Chess with Human Players
Online too.

Your Ratings improve as you beat more human opponents. I like spending
my evening playing chess with others online.

I beat it twice at its lowest level. It's higher levels are simply
interminable waits.

Anyone of average or even somewhat below-average strength can beat
this software on any of its levels. I am rated only 1813, but have
beaten its "master" level with ease. The only thing it tests at that
level is one's patience, as it takes up to half an hour for a single
move.

So I tried the Normal level. I had a look at the time the program used
and on Normal the program used 22 minutes for the first 11 moves. After
another 20 minutes it still hadn't responded to my 12th move (maybe a
resignation?).

1.Nf3 Nc6 2.d4 d5 3.c4 dxc4 4.d5 Na5 5.e4 Bd7 6.Na3 b5 7.b3 cxb3 8.Nxb5
a6 9.Nbd4 bxa2 10.Rxa2 c5 11.dxc6 e.P. Bxc6 12.Bd2 1-0

It's not like it plays any better on the higher levels, it just plays
veeeery slooooowly.

Clearly you didn't use the meantime to improve the program, it lost in
just 14 moves:
