Recently a new Chess Program which needs no download has been made.
I played twice today and found now It plays very good moves.
Earlier there were a few problems which have been removed now.
You can Play Chess Online at:
http://www.softtanks.com/chess=ADgame/Chess.html
Shut other webpages for a fast game. Reload if there is any problem in
starting the game.
It provides you the options of White & Black and there are Seven levels
to choose from
Heighest scores is 400.
You get high score when you beat high level Game. You get small points
if you are able to draw the game. But no score for loosing.
Play catiously as it do not allow you to take back moves.

Start with Begineer Level if you are a new player (100 Points to win)
If you are well then try Easy level (200 Points to win)
If you are ster you play the Normal & Advanced Levels.
Advanced levels take lot of time So play higher levels only if you have
good time.
When you beat the Computer your score will be added to the database and
displayed at Hall of Fame.

It does no such thing. It still plays very badly, and now more slowly
than ever. It also now makes silly, rude comments.

The only thing that's been corrected is the square color.

Define "fast." At its "5 minutes per move" speed, it took over an
hour to play its first 3 moves, which were ridiculous: 1.b3 e5 2.Ba3 c5
3.c3. At "10 seconds" it often takes several minutes per move.

I would recommend the higher levels only to someone serving a long
prison sentence. The so-called "20 minutes per move" level is more like
"20 years to life." And that is on a very fast, late model machine with
plenty of RAM and mHz.

And then taken off when the webmaster decides the scores should not
count because "the computer was making mistakes."
