Subject: Repertoire Builder (beta)
Hi all,
I am writing a Java web app similar to the opening explorer on
chessgames.com, and I need some feedback (feature recommendations/found
bugs etc...). Here is the URL:

http://yammyfz6.no-ip.org/RepBuilder/app

Be advised it is not 100% ready for prime time, and may run slowly
depending on the number of users accessing it. It does support
uploading pgn files and building a repertoire.

Please send feedback to [email protected] and thanks in advance.

Hi,

I tried to run bookbilder but it crashed. Looks like it might have
potential once the bugs are worked out...

well it still has some little bugs,
such as an interface bug if you use it
too long, ie trying to add come 40 new
lines or so, that's why i reduced the price,
but usually it doesnt crash straight at once..
So this most likely is due to the setup of
your specific comp, if you would send me
a direct mail specifying what setup you
are using, i could have a look at it.

From people just trying to explore some variations
and their names, especially beginners thereby
developing apersonal repertoire and thus
more confidence in chess i usually get quite
positive feedback of the program. Especially
about it's long term potential, although
its not Chessbase or Chess Assistant of course
(also not as expensive..)

best regards,
sc

the idea is clear, an easy online book/repertoire tutor,
opening names are still busy, but as a whole it looks ok

yes that's clear; some testers might like to use
the Bookbuilder program(*) on www.superchess to
add/check some repertoire lines.

best regards,
