Subject: Setting Up A Position?
Are there any free sites or software programs that will suggest the
best move after certain positions are set up?

Thanks,
BMW

Many of these programs are free. In general, you use a user interface,

such as Winboard (free), and an engine, such as Crafty (free) or
Gnuchess, which does the calculation. I believe there are 100-200 free

engines available for downloading.

I'm not giving you links because there are so many. Do a search on
"Winboard" and you'll have more links than you can handle!

Dan
