Probably a stupid question, considering the current state
of all newsgroups.

But anyway...this used to be a place where you could
find some interesting and serious analysis. Now you
have jokers trying to make money online with their
crappy chess programs and advertising their silly
games, and the usual Sloan and Chess One bs.

Any listservs or groups for somewhat serious players?

Rob

Check out chess.com, chessforums.org, and chessdiscussion.com. They're
all pretty good PHP forums about chess. They have different groups of
people and different areas of focus, so check them all out and see
what you think.
