Hi,

I played two games with my friend Pat Online and won one while loose
other. The game have been recorded on the computer. Anyone can play
with others as well as with Computer.

The Chess game Played by computer has improved a lot and it playes nice
moves with Normal Level

Though if you are good player do not play with Beginner & Easy level
(As you will win easily).

Play at: http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html

Highest record of 500 was made twice. I believe good players can make
upto 400 points. You can play multiplayer game also.

Bye
Sanjay.

Yes, still awful. And it plays illegal moves -- yesterday when faced
with a mate in two, it moved a bishop that was pinned between my queen
and its king. So I just took the king.

Sorry, it's still awful. With the computer playing black on `normal'
level, 1.e4 e6 2.d4 Bb4+ 3.c3 Bd6 4.Nf3 Qf6?? 5.e5 and White has won a
piece for a pawn.

And, in one of the games you (Sanny) played against it, it misses a
mate in one! 1.b3 e6 2.Bb2 Nf6 3.f3 Nc6 4.c4 d5 5.d3 Bd6 6.g4 Bd7
7.Bxf6 Qxf6 8.Nd2?? and the computer plays Be5? instead of Qh4#. The
opportunity to checkmate is declined on the next two moves, as well,
before White plays e4, giving the king a flight square.

It seems like you have very much improved the time it takes the program
to move on the normal level. Now it actually does make its moves in a
vaguely acceptable time compared to previous versions.

It was not that difficult to win on the normal level though and that's
even though I played the opening horribly badly as white. However
completely horrible blunders by the program in the opening and middle
game (just quite unambitious play letting me recover from my pathetic
opening). A bit of improvement for its endgame play might be a good idea.

1.Nf3 d5 2.d4 Bg4 3.Ne5 Bf5 4.c4 Nc6 5.Nc3 Nxe5 6.dxe5 dxc4 7.Bg5 Qxd1
8.Rxd1 Bc2 9.Rd2 h6 10.Bh4 g5 11.Bg3 Bg6 12.e3 Rd8 13.Bxc4 Rxd2 14.Kxd2
e6 15.Rd1 Bb4 16.a3 Bc5 17.b4 Bb6 18.h4 Bh5 19.Be2 Bxe2 20.Kxe2 gxh4
21.Bxh4 Ne7 22.Ne4 Nd5 23.Nf6+ Nxf6 24.Bxf6 0-0 25.Rh1 Kh7 26.Bg5 c5
27.Bxh6 Rc8 28.Bg5+ Kg6 29.Be7 cxb4 30.axb4 Rc4 31.Rd1 Rc2+ 32.Kf3 Kh7
33.Rd7 Rc7 34.Rxc7 Bxc7 35.Bd6 Bxd6 36.exd6 e5 37.d7 a5 38.d8=Q e4+
39.Kxe4 axb4 40.Kf5 b3 41.Qh4+ Kg7 42.Qg5+ Kh8 43.Kf6 Kh7 44.Qg7#

After that game I nearly thought there has been a serious improvement in
the program, but maybe I just made it too easy for it to find decent
moves, the next game where I was black against the easy level was much
worse than the previous one:

1.d4 f5 2.Bf4 Nf6 3.Nf3 d6 4.Nc3 g6 5.Nb5 Bg7 6.Rb1 0-0 7.Nh4 Nc6 8.Bg5
Ne4 9.Nf3 Nxg5 10.Nxg5 e5 11.Nh3 a6 12.Na3 Nxd4 13.e3 Ne6 14.Bc4 b5
15.Bd5 Rb8 16.0-0 Qe7 17.Kh1 h6 18.b4 g5 19.Rb3 Kh8 20.Rc3 g4 21.Ng1 Ng5
22.Rc6 h5 23.f4 Nh7 24.fxe5 Bxe5 25.h3 Qh4 26.Qe1 Bg3 27.Qd2 Bb7 28.Rxc7
Bxd5 29.Qxd5 Be5 30.Rb1 Qg3 31.Qd2 Qh2#

Its play during the opening stage was just disasterous, it got a bit
better after that, but then it got reaaaaaaaly slooooooow after move
40ish, not sure why. (maybe you don't have the time for moves so well
under control after all) And sometimes I just don't get what the program
is doing, basically it didn't even try to stop me from mating in the end???
