wouldl someone be kind enough to look over this game and offer some
comments and criticisms? my chess wins are few and far between so its
nice to get one every now and then. the main thing i'm looking for
any major errors/blunders on my part so i can avoid them in the
future. thanks in advance.

Before reading our suggestions you should post here your thoughs about
that game, for example ...
- Do you think 6.Nc3 was good, bad or as good/bad as other moves there?
- Was 8...Bxa1 good, bad or as good as other moves?

A good idea is to write if you are proud of your opening phase or not,
if you think black or white made some mistakes., suvggest improvememnts
for both sides, ...

A rather huge error. 6.c3 wins a piece. This is good for black. You need
to study tactics until you don't miss something obviously like this
(after 6.c3, white has two pieces attacked by pawns. He can't defend
both of them. The best he can do is Bd6 but then Nf3 and his pinned
knight is attacked by a pawn.

A massive, massive, massive mistake from your opponent. 8. ... 0-0 or
Qe7 consolidates a massive advantage for him.

Kc8 was much stronger.

> 12. Bg5f4

Another very large mistake for you. 12.Qxe6 fg 13.Be2 (threatening Bg4)
is very strong. Even if you don't realize that, however, you should
realize that you're (slightly) up material, so trades are good for you.

> Nb8c6

A hideously bad move. Re8 and black is fine.

> 13. Qe2xe6 Nc6d4 14. Qe6f7

You could, of course, pick up the d-pawn with check here first.

> Rh8e8

Black makes the worst move on the board, giving you a mate.

> 15. Qf7xc7 1-0

At least you don't miss it.

14... Kc8 would be just as bad. ;-)
