Subject: CB 9 question
Hi all,

I have a question regarding chessbase 9: suppose I am replaying an
annotated game (with variations).Everytime there's a choice between the
main move and a variation, the program shows a pop-up window to let me
choose. Suppose I choose a variation and replay it to its end. Is there
any keyboard shortcut to bring me back to that pop-up window? I know of
the "M" letter, but that takes you to the main move (and plays it out
too), so it won't give you a choice(e.g. when there are 3 variations
and you want to replay all of them before proceeding to the main move).
I used chessbase 8 before too, and there was a shortcut- at the end of
the variation, you just pressed "Delete" and it took you back to the
choice window, so you could have chose a second variation or the main
move. But the del button is not working in CB9..was that nice shortcut
really killed or is there something else?
I know it's not that important(one can still replay games without it,
right? ;) ), but I really got used to it and now it annoys me that I
can't use it.....
Thx for any help in advance...

Hi Hal,

Thanks for the info! I had the original cb9 from 2004, so I upgraded it
(it says may 06 now) and the backspace key works for me now! I'm happy
again :0)

In the original version of CB9 this feature was left out but
after some complaints they fixed it in one of their upgrade patches.
If you have the most recent patch installed, you can jump back to the
pop-up window by hitting the backspace key.
