I received my new Intel dual-core Macintosh Powerbook Pro today, and
after installing Windows alongside the Mac System X software, the
first program I installed was Fritz 9.

It seems to run perfectly, and the good news is that in analysis mode,
it considers over 1000 nodes per second, as compared to my 2 GHz P4 PC
that considers about 500 for the same position. So it is about twice
as fast, which is a nice change from Virtual PC, that would not run
Fritz at all.

Mac users rejoice! You can now run Fritz on your Mac.

Henri

What is the advantage of a Mac over any other Intel hardware if you are
running Windows XP on it?

Because I can run Mac programs too (which I prefer, but Fritz is not
available on the Mac).
