I'm angry about this. Now I'm not allowed to get updates to Chessbase 9 without purchasing a new serial number?! There's no way I'm going to purchase another serial number for a 100 dollar program I installed a year ago. I'm reduced to downloading only weekly chess games from TWIC. I'm switching to playing practice poker against the computer instead...because it uses less resources than playing chess against the AI. So without a new serial number...I can't listen in on weekly lectures on the Playchess server anymore. I can't watch matches on the Playchess server anymore. This ruins my Christmas Day.

Hi AI: Another, cheaper option, would be to buy an older edition of Fritz 8 (wholesalechess.com sales it for $19.88) Once you enter the serial number into Fritz and its registered to the account, you will be able to log in using your chessbase 9 software using the same account info. I bought a couple of copies for less than $40.00 so now I have two more years of playchess.com Matthew "Alberich" <[email protected] > wrote in message news:[email protected]... > I'm angry about this. For CB9, you get the DB program + 1 year access to playchess. After one year, you still have the DB program, but will have to take a subscription to enter on the playchess site. And that one is not $100, it's only about $34.
