Subject: Software to make interactive Javascript games online?
Hi Everyone:

I had been using Chessbase 9 for making html/javascript games from our
chess club for posting online. The last couple of months I used
Chessassistant 8 (it gives a many more options for the website visitor such
as board size, color, chess font, etc.).

I tried doing some searching online but wasn't able to find anything else
that seemed really good. Do any of you know of or have a favorite chess
program for posting chess games online that are "playable" (that web site
visitors can click through). Thanks in advance.
Matthew

P.S. Here are two examples I have done:

Chessbase: http://www.akronchessclub.com/Games/2005/may2005.htm

Chessassistant: http://www.akronchessclub.com/Games/2005/tember2005.htm

My personal opinion, from the examples you posted, is that ChessAssistant
produces much nicer pages except for using long algebraic notation
(1.e2-e4 e7-e5 2.Ng1-f3 etc). Is there any way of making it use short
algebraic (1.e4 e5 1.Nf3 etc)? I find that makes it much easier to follow
the variations without having to play them out on the board.

Dave.

Hi David:
I agree that ChessAssistant 8 does provide a lot more options and looks
nicer than Chessbase 9's web output. I had to play with it a little, but it
is possible to change the notation to short algebraic.

Do you or anyone else know of any other software programs that might be
similar or better? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks, Matthew
