As I use an old Netscape with JavaScript turned off, I can safely
explore unfamiliar links... the link does actually contain a news story
about how a retired chessplayer, because he lived in a part of India
where chess was not as popular, is now living in poverty.
I was somewhat surprised by the title of the post, because, of course,
this is also the surname of a famous American basketball player.

Whoa, there! There have been plenty of buffer overruns in all kinds
of web browser code, particularly in image-rendering libraries. Using
old software is no guarantee whatsoever of safety, especially since
newer versions of the software have had known vulnerabilities fixed
(of course, few new ones introduced).
