All the big guns are there BUT one , no Gata..

But still all the heavy weights of chess will be playing and i am
wondering how Polgar will do against all the men ...

We will get a preview of the Anand vs Kar match too but will they play
hard vs each other or maybe just draw ? You know they will not want to
try any new moves or do anything that mite give the other an advantage
when they play for the title ....

How will the young chess sensation Magnuson Carseln do ? He wants to
prove himself against the best so i belive he will play hard in every
game....

I belive Topolove will want to send a message to Anand and Karmnick when
he plays them so he is looking to destroy them...
Now Gata gets to sit back and watch Top vs this field just like Top sat
back and watched him in the last tournament......

+ there are a bunch of other strong players who really want to step
their game up ... I can not remember their names but that is why they
want to win , they want you to remember their names so they have a lot
to prove.....Nobody wants to finish last ...

Go check it out on his blog .....

I wonder how the odds would be in Vegas ?
who will win ? I belive every player is in the 2690 + ELO range .....

who's mind will be destroyed ? Who will be broken ? Who will finish
last and be humiliated?

I think Polgar has the hardest road because lets face it , no guy wants
to lose to a girl ....

This should be good , i hope every one plays their best chess ......

I asked Mickey Adams a questions about Judit, who is a frequent 'sparring
partner' of his, but as for 'against the men' isn't she ahead of 900 male
grandmasters?

There are some problems with reporting this year - and the press officer
seems to only want Dutch mainstream media at media conferences - and whadda
they know to ask? :(((

In some ridicoulous thing in Holland last year [post Topalov-Kramnik] the
media showed up and ask a bunch of top GMs how often they went to the toilet
during games? And nothing of chess at all... Hopefully Dutch media will
employ some chess players to do the asking.

That's a point.

Yes the reporting sucks i am sure .....

Have these people ever heard of pay per view on tv ???? I would get it
if they could show it on tv for a reasonable cost ..Id pay 25 $ to get
to watch all the games on tv ...I bet a lot of people would because this
tournament will be good...

They should have a future thinker , some one who thinks out side the
box...They mite even make money if if they get enough people to buy the
pay per view..I have 3 or 4 friends who would get it so that would be 75
$ to I00 $ right there..+ i bet most people on these chess boards all
over the world would buy it too....

Or maybe just buy the last 3 days of games or something like that ...I
am sure it could be done so they make money and we could just turn the
tv on and watch the games.....

Polgar is a very good GM and i like her and her ELO may be stronger than
900 other GM's but go look at this class of GM's she will be facing and
she is almost last in ELO rating.....

She is the underdog so i mite pull for her just because of that .....

I need to go read your post again to see if there was another qestion to
answer...
