Here we must apologize to our readers. A translation error was
discovered and therefore the book had to be revised and reprinted.

What is amazing is that the book came out two years ago and nobody
noticed the mistake until just now.

This was not the fault of the author. The correct dirty word was in
the original manuscript. The error came in assembling the book, while
trying to make sure that the English on one page matched the Japanese
on the facing page.

The author, who is in Japan, does not believe any of this. He thinks
that this is all a conspiracy by my wife, who is Japanese, to keep the
Americans from finding out what the really dirty words are in
Japanese.

Thereby I am hereby publicly apologizing to the author and explaining
that this was not my wife's fault. Actually, it was I who made the
mistake.

Meanwhile, cheap imitations have come out. One is called "Dirty
Japanese". That book just contains some mild slang which is perfectly
acceptable in even the politest Japanese society. By contrast, "How to
Talk Dirty in Japanese and English" contains the really dirty words,
to such an extent that American men who own this book have to hide it
from their Japanese wives.

Proof of this is that the Kinokuniya Bookstores refuse to carry "How
to Talk Dirty in Japanese" because it is too dirty, but they do carry
"Dirty Japanese" because it is not dirty at all.

The Kinokuniya Bookstores in the USA do not even carry the dirty
Japanese comic books that are so prevalent everywhere in Japan.

So, don't buy the cheap imitation. Buy the really dirty book!

The above statement is horseshit. Hentai Manga and their kind are not
carried by mainstream bookstores in Japan and not even by all Manga
bookstores. There are Manga stores which specifically carry them.
They are far from "prevalent".
