Subject: Is playing chess for money wrong.

Is playing chess for money wrong? I came across a site that says, no
only is playing chess for money not wrong, but vital to the popularit
of the game.
They believe that, the more money attached to chess, the more non
chess players will take an interest in the game.
What say you?
