Subject: Looking for a stand alone chess-exe
Hi

I am looking for a chess game to a family member. He lives out of
town, no
internet, I need an installation

And he does not like "fast" games, and where he can set the level "so
the
computer does not always win"

Any ideas?

BTW they want a billiard game too

A useless reply. They said they don't have an internet connection, so
why argue the point?

There are many, many chess games available. It sounds like what would
suit here is an older, inexpensive version of ChessMaster. You can
probably get ChessMaster 9 for under ten dollars these days.

If he has internet Connection then I would have recommended

http://www.getclub.com/chessgame.exe

But this requires internet connection.

There is a Boxing game too at GetClub but thats too need internet
connection.

I cannot imagine someone having a computer but not having internet
connection?

Internet connection costs so little today that even broadband is
affordable.
