I was buying groceries at Safeway this morning, and browsed the
tabloids while waiting for my turn at the checkout. Big Headline:
"Bobby Fischer Poisoned". This particular article suggested Mossad.

Maybe Kirson can get the space aliens to give us the real scoop.

I have already received conspiracy death-and-escape material from
'overseas', asking my opinion. It is hard not to suggest that he is alive
and well and living on a big remote ranch in Montana with Elvis.

April first is coming up, and we at Chessville have been trying to figure
out what is actually believable these days.

The trick to pulling off an April First joke in chess has to be to hook in
mainmedia and get them excited about stuff, and one possibility we have
inconclusively kicked around are RJF's trance medium games played against
Staunton, who is a 'greater' and doing surprisingly well, and as received
from StarCloudThunder who lives in SF, and who also channels the
much-improved Bogart and Deschamps.

Fischer's mind was self-poisoned long ago. Perhaps some just seeped
out into his body.
