Subject: US Women's Championship
Several people have written asking if I know anything about the US Woman's
championship - and all there is to tell is scuttlebut, which leaks out of
Crossville.

I understand that

a) there is no information at the USCF site
b) the date is 'sometime' in July
c) the date was set without consultation of the top contenders
d) is berry underwriting the championship ?
e) one [of my] correspondents wants to put up a brilliancy prize fund,
doesn't know where or who to give it
f) kelly atkins refers matters to bill hall at uscf, though it is unclear
who the officially assigned contact person is
