Two post-messages to rec.games.chess.politics,rec.games.chess.misc.

One from Lafferty, the candidate for the USCF EB, the other from Milan
Vidmar (resurrection edition).

But -- our forensic team proved both came from the same PC.

To make things clearer only the relevant headers are displayed.

The only conclusion can be that Brian Lafferty is as unelectable as his
buddy Sam Sloan.

I fail to seen any evidence within these headers to either
prove or disporve that they both originated from the same PC.
Not matching IP Adresses or MAC Adresses and even the
routing is different. They do share the nowhere.com domain
(presumably fictitious) but that is all.

There are three great sins you can commit when posting to newsgroups.
Committing any of these sins automatically means that what you wrote
is to be disregarded. The first is to cite Hitler or Nazi Germany. The
second is to post under a Nom de Plume. The third is to misspell a
word or use poor grammar. In this newsgroup there is fourth. That is,
to believe anything Sam Sloan puts forth.

You are wrong. The mailing program (Thunderbird 2.0.0.19
Windows/20081209) is identical, and the giganews tracker e.g.
"IRqRE7N0FX0kiMWamcx0nAOcW25pR9sz5GAEOUfAFbNe9DegsOfXCZPnAyj/
ME8hy8vMYd6apgkZmow!gIZvcqmV9fEiiQz4FJCSBC9QNWYy4kMInFDvSL4z+
BhWtHVKASmOsCYsNgiPtFgM98BrBUb5K9q+", using the giganews
backdoor @ bit.torrent/81b2-4fe7-bd55-390e529b61x, resolved
the left 3 octets of the IP as 173.48.186. Same as Lafferty's.

Three minutes before you posted, the accused, Brian Lafferty,
confessed.

Tellingly, Lafferty admitted to using remailers. "{When) I
wanted to conceal my identity, I'd use an anon remailer".

Discovery will be interesting. [email protected]
(posting in support of Lafferty), [email protected] (Lafferty
forgot that he admitted to using this one), see the name
similarity? Where Bogner ends and Lafferty begins, all
will come out in the next phase.

Sweat. : >)

ROTFLMAO!!!!! What a putz you are. I opened an account with giganews
because Verizon's newserver has become very spotty. Vidmar is a nom de
plume and a playing handle I use on some internet servers like FICS. If
I wanted to conceal my identity, I'd use an anon remailer like Truong
does.

Thank you for pointing that out. Same shit, different day. Where have

No such "giganews backdoor" exists. Giganews can decrypt the
"X-Trace:" header (they need to be able to do that to track
abuse of their system) but you can't, because you don't have
the key.

Note to a.p and a.p.a-s readers: The above disinformation
is part of the ongoing Sam Sloan flamewar in the chess groups.

Not true. The giganews trace was busted way back in 2005 or 2006.
The crack was put on the filesharing network. Giganews used weak
encryption (256-AES) for encoding all but the last octet of the
IP address. Dumbasses.

Thanks for at least admitting you are spreading disinformation.

Here is the post where the perpetrator later admitted to being the
true sender, confirming the validity of the break in X-Trace.

What does this mean inplain speak? Brian, do you wish to take this
opportunity to clear your name?
