Subject: Backsolving video with Dzindzi's Sicilian idea

I just finished a video that shows off Backsolving. It's at...

http://www.bookup.com/tutorial_videos.htm <-- the last video in the list

If you play the Sicilian from either side you must see Roman
Dzindzichashvili's incredible novelty/improvement.

Oops, got that a little confused. Dzindzhi looks at the position after
White has castled kingside. The question should be, what does he say
about: 8. Bc4 Bg7 9. Ndb5 0-0 10.Qxd6 f5 11. 0-0-0?

Interesting stuff and not as simple as most people think.

(Correcting my earlier guess) I found two of Roman's games on the
supplemental PGN file on his DVD where he played 11...Qg5+ 12.f4 Qxg2.

I got that!

In his DVD, Dzindzi goes on about how he has won 40 games against GM's and
IM's, losing two games and through no fault of Black's opening position.

More appropriate might be "why didn't his stronger opponents just grab that
pawn with the queen?"

The answers are on his DVD (no, this is not a sales pitch!) and he lectures
over 50 minutes on this setup. The lines are interesting and clear enough
that even this patzer can understand them.

BTW, if memory serves (and my brain is fried at the moment) I think he plays
...Qb6 in lines where White grabs the pawn with the queen. One of the games
with a grandmaster had White playing O-O-O (lining up the rook on the
d-file) and carefully preparing the pawn grab at d6. Dzindzi convincingly
showed "dynamic compensation" for the pawn, again with enough clarity that
this patzer could comprehend it.

The software looks good. The chess analysis less so. After 10...f5,
theory gives 11. Qxd6 followed in some lines with 0-0-0 and a
substantial edge for White. What does Dzindi say about that?
