That letter is about Fischer, prisons in the USA and abroad like maybe
Guantanamo, etc. What's so French about it Ian?

Phil,,

"The author is a political scientist with a Master of Fine Arts degree
from the University of Arizona." as written after the letter.

Being a political scientist says it all. He thinks just like a leftist,
but I dont know for sure.

Fischer put Iceland on the global map. It's only fitting that they do
the favor back when he needed it the most.

Which is part of the american problem right now. Someone who doesn't agree
withe current administration is a "leftist" and should therefore not be
taken seriously.

There was nothing in that text that is "leftist" to my mind - and I would,
living in the USA (which I'm not) vote Democrat.

Liam, this is strong stuff. Tell us about the person who speaks it, and what
your understanding is of why Iceland offers the man a political refugee
status.
