B58 Sicilian: Boleslavsky, Louma variation
1.e4 c5, 2.Nf3 Nc6, 3.d4 cxd4, 4.Nxd4 Nf6, 5.Nc3 d6,
6.Be2 e5, 7.Nxc6

I'm amazed that Kramnik hasn't employed this variation into
competitive chess. Johnathan (sic) Louma's variation certainly
suits Kramniks temperment anithetically as playing Black ala C67: Rio Jan-
Berlin Defese. Yet, I've found no games with 7.Nxc6.
As white it's a grand opening or should I say surprise.

White has lost tempi (Knight makes 3 moves, Black's Knight makes 1
move.) White has strengthened Blacks Pawn structure; transfer of the b7
Pawn to c6 should be worth more in the middle game than the isolation
of the a-Pawn or the closure of the c-file. The hole on d5 is now
protected. What is White's compensation? What specific plan does White
have?
