It uses better Intelligence than other programs in the ket.

The Game Speed has more than doubled.
And I hope the link works. (If not try copy paste below link on your
browser)

http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html

Now you can play the Beginner Level, Easy Level and the Normal Level
for free. While for higher level you have to signup.

The game works quite fast atleast on my computer.

It makes moves in 10-20 seconds. While sometimes goes for 1 minute if a
position is quite complex. But it is 100 times better than it used to
be earlier.

So you can enjoy free chess at
http://www.softtanks.com/chessgame/Chess.html

Play As long as you want. Your Scores will tell how intelligent you are
and will be displayed on the site.

Bye
Sanjay

An especially ludicrous taunt, just before I checkmated it, was "I
played King. My mighty King. Computers will rule Humans! Are you a man?
I hate Man." Very much like Grail's black knight shouting "Come back,
I'll bite your legs off!"

Phil,
Zed is going to become jealous if he finds out you have been playing
"other programs" online. LOL

That *was* normal level in the game I cited. I tried it again and it
still played like an absolute fool. It played worse than the program I
wrote in Basic 25 years ago for a TRS-80!

Now all problems had been Solved.

It now plays within the time frame. Even if it has not completed the
Analysis. It tries to make the best possible move.

Normal Level Game is quite good to start if you are a bit good player.

Only 3 people were able to beat the normal Level. While I don't think
it is good showing Beginner Level moves. Why not beat the Normal &
Advance levels which play with the time interval specified.

Play with Normal Level & you will enjoy a lot.

You remind me to one guy on P2P networks... Guy sharing some stuff, was
about 4 GB-s, and Description says: "I have everything!"
Pretti dubious, forces me to think you're too young and unexperienced...

No, they haven't. It still doesn't recognise checkmate and it still
plays very poor chess.

No, it doesn't. It regularly exceeds the stated one minute per move on my
computer; at least it has usually moved within two minutes, now.

In this game, I am playing white. Your program plays the opening
appallingly badly, shuffling its `clever' bishop backwards and forwards
along the c8-h3 diagonal, misses elementary tactics and has no concept of
king safety.

1.e4 d6 2.d4 Nf6 3.Nc3 Be6? 4.Bg5 Bg4? 5.f3 Be6? 6.Qd2 h6 7.Be3 Bc8?
8.O-O-O Bd7? 9.e5 Nh5?? 10.g4 dxe5? 11.dxe5 Nf6?? 12.exf6 exf6??
13.Bc4 Qe7? 14.Re1 Qd6?? 15.Bc5+ Qe5 16.Rxe5 fxe5 17.Qd5 Bxc5
18.Qxf7+ Kd8 19.Nge2 Be3+? 20.Kb1 Bd2? 21.Rd1 b5?? 22.Bxb5 Bxb5 23.Nxb5
c5?? 24.Rxd2+ Kc8 25.Qc7#

Mainly because it won't let me click on those buttons and says I have to
pay $5 per month for the privilege.

Agree - except it does give in when you take the King. Unfortunately the
little taunts on the right of the screen carry on, even when its over -
reminding me of the hapless knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail - "Cowards"
yells the trunk of the hero.

I've noted some strange things with other programs which otherwise play
okay - don't know if you've encountered a double-check with this one yet -
some programs [Arasan, eg] only react to the piece that moved to give check,
and ignore the exposed #

yes - I was playing 10 seconds against it and it took minutes - and I have
DSL - I have no idea what would happen if I took more than 10 secs, maybe
nothing?

At least its not using an opening book and simply trotting out GM lines for
15 moves before imploding.

I didn't try it, fearing hour-long waits.

Now that's a chess exhibition I would pay to see!
Another stellar moment for Sanjay's computer, from the position W:
Ke1, Rc4, Rh1, Bg2, Ng1, a2, b4, e4, f2, g4, h3; B: Kg8, Ra8, Rf8, Bc6,
Bf6, Nd4, a7, b7, f7, g7, h6. Here, after reporting that it was
"thinking on" the illegal 1.Kc1, the computer played 1.Rh2, but said
that it played 1.Ng1, crowing "I played Horse. My jumping Horse. !! I
will kill all pieces !!"
One move before I delivered mate, it boasted "Your plans will be
crushed!" Reminds me of an old Cheech and Chong skit with the line "As
soon as I get your foot off my neck, I'm gonna hurt you, man!"
It also frequently says "I hate even positions!" Perhaps this
explains why it puts itself in grossly inferior positions so quickly.
I even tried making mistakes on purpose, to see if it would
capitalize. It did not, in one case even putting a piece en prise when
it might have won one of mine if it had even 4-ply foresight.

I gave up on the thing after 1. e4 d6 2. d4 Nf6 3. Nc3 Be6?? 4. f4
Bc8?? 5. Nf3 Rg8? 6. Bc4 Bg4 7. h3 Bxf3 8. Qxf3 Qd7??? 9. e5. I thought
maybe I was playing a proof game or something...

It plays like Larry Parr blindfolded and standing on his head.

No, this is still quite inferior to most other chess programs.

No one with any sense is going to pay $5.00/month to play a program
that not only takes forever to make bad moves, but also makes rude and
ridiculous comments.
For example, in a lost position where it had a knight on g1 and a
rook on h1, it said it was "thinking on Ng1." It then moved Rh1-h2 and
said "I played Horse. My jumping Horse. !!I have nice plan!! Do you
have any plan?" After which it continued to play more or less randomly
until I checkmated it easily a few moves later.

It was a bit of fun getting my name on the top two positions of your
"Hall of Fame," but then you arbitrarily erased it. I am certainly not
going to waste money or any more time putting it back.
