Hi,

I'm a newbie here; started playing when I was 6, but haven't played in 25
years. Got into a correspondence game, in progress. I'm playing Black:

1.e4 . e5 2.Ng1f3 . Nb8c6 3.Bf1b5 . Ng8f6 4.d3 . Nf6xe4!?

Not seeking advice. Just thought it was funny when I looked at it this
morning.

If this is the wrong type of post to make to this NG, please let me know.

Somehow, the Berlin Defence looks much more solid when Kramnik plays
it. :-)

If your opponent's also a beginner, you might get on OK. As I'm sure
you're aware, beginners often blunder things much bigger than knights. If
not, take comfort from the fact that the pawn you took could have gone on
to become a queen, which your knight never could. :-)

Dave, Thanks for respecting my request for no help. I still can't believe
that I didn't see my own QP! My opponent is a gentleman. I suspect that if
I offered him a draw, he'd accept out of mercy, but I won't do that. We'll
see how it goes.

You might want to change that "War on Terror" to "War on Islamic Terror"--
