You will have to contact the FIDE Delegate from Barbados. He is the
cochair on the developing countries committee for the Carribean. You
can get his e-mail address at www.fide.com, Barbados. FIDE does take an
active role. I don't have all of the facts, and people are threatening
to kill me for participating as a Delegate at the meeting where that is
all discussed.

FIDE isn't all bad.

What you need to understand is that people play chess who can't afford
regular internet access. So, FIDE will have a role with the internet.

I saw her book at the US chess championship this
year in San Diego, and I feel that she is trying to make
chess a bit more hip and cool (i.e., for the younger generation),
and to try to dispell the geeky, nerdy, and bookworm image
that some people have of chess players.

Hence, the chess bitch concept.

how can I talk about what I will do? Clearly, I don't have a FIDE vote
yet, and I might not have a vote for several years in FIDE. I'll get

Well, I do know what to do with my credential card offered by FIDE if I
am not representing St Kitts and Nevis to FIDE. New members have to go
through some hoops, but to make a long story short; every government
that formed had to go through a period of insults from everyone else
until they were recognized. Several countries and groups have
recognized met, except the USCF. Even Kok's campaign emailed me back
and said "welcome to the family." I agree with Kok's campaign statement
that it is not clear when I will vote.

It does to take money to hold chess tournaments. I had to invest my
money to enable this. There are two ways this can go. I can buy the
title and quit (and then FIDE won't let me vote) or I can do some good
for chess on St Kitts.

Chess Freak has no desire for chess in other countries in developing
countries. It really does insult me to see the level of selfishness and
animosity that people display for chess in developing countries.

There are plenty of other books about chess. Ms Shahade has not
increased your ability to promote chess but nor has she decreased it.
I see no reason why FIDE should take any action just because she has
not increased your ability to promote chess. After all, she didn't
increase your ability to promote chess last time she ate a chocolate
bar. Should FIDE therefore take action to prevent Ms Shahade from
eating chocolate?
