ChessUp is an online tool for creating chess diagrams. It is 100%
browser-based and free. I invite everyone to check it out:

ChessUp Features:
- Simple drag-n-drop interface
- Color customization
- 4 different piece styles
- Descriptive text and board coordinates
- Create links to images or save the images
- Supports FEN
ChessUp's links can be used in newsgroups, forums, email, or anywhere
else you can write text. Here is an example:

If you want to save the images, you can easily save ChessUp images and
post them on your server, too.

Also, it would be nice to have a "Flip Board" option. Sometimes I would
rather show the board from Black's perspective.

Spacer, I find your site useful, but your FEN misses non-positional
data. Like, whose turn it is, what turn number it is, etc.

Thank you for the feedback.
ChessUp does support the position part of FEN. On the main GUI, you
can click "Enter FEN", paste the text, and then get the image.
Also, on the image result page, FEN notation is always displayed below
the image for your convenience:

I think you've missed my point. Your URLs include the position part
of the FEN string but not the information about whose move it is.
Therefore, I can't cut and paste the FEN from the URL into. say,
WinBoard and then move the pieces around -- WinBoard doesn't know
whose move it is. If you included the `to move' information in the
URL (and, indeed, in the diagram -- it's not always obvious from the
position), your software would be more useful both for people who want
to use it (like you) and people who would rather use a chess program
to see chess diagrams (like me) because then they can move the pieces
around.
