Subject: Chessmaster 10th Edition question
Whenever I try and open Chessmaster 10th Ed. on my computer I get this
message window: "Can't initialize 3D engine". When I click the "OK" button
in the window the program aborts and that's as far as I get. I tried
uninstalling and then re-installing the program, but the same thing happened
when I later tried to open it again. I also ran the "repair" option under
the uninstall options menu, but the problem was not fixed.

What does the "Can't initialize 3D engine" message refer to, or what does it
mean, and how can I correct this problem?

Thanks,

JS

It sounds like a video card problem. What video card do you have in
your computer? Also, what version of DirectX do you have installed on
your computer? If you don't know how to answer these questions, then
please feel free to e-mail me directly at [email protected] and we can
take this offline.
