Subject: Commodore 64 Chess Programs
Hello: I like to collect and play Chess Programs. For my Commodore 64,
I have Sargon 2 & 3, and Chessmaster 2000.

I would like to know if any other Chess Programs were written for the
Commodore 64?

And where could I find Chessmaster 2000 for DOS?

Thank you!

It's worth pointing out that tin Bryant, the author of Colossus Chess has
said he doesn't mind if people have to give copies of his old programs.

I emailed him some time back and he said it was okay to post Colossus on the
web.

(Unfortunately, I couldn't find any reputable, unmodified copy to post. I
didn't want to post random copies that I couldn't trust. The only copy I
could find was one for the PC, but it was copy protected and the guy didn't
have the manual.)

Believe it or not, CM2000 for DOS comes with CM8000 and CM9000! Here's
how to get it to launch.

Go to "Help - > About Chessmaster 9000". On the left of the dialog there
will be a "slideshow" that changes picture about every five seconds.
When the picture changes to the box shot of CM2000, just left-click on
the picture. CM2000 will launch!

Or, if you like, just contact me through the Computer Chess Club
(www.talkchess.com) and I'll e-mail CM2000 to you.
