Subject: Goichberg Refuses to Release Financials to the Other Board Members

I was puzzled to read this, as I have not received an annual financial
report either. I called Bill Hall who said that the auditors are
still working on it, and the the office has issued no report, but did
send several versions of interim worksheets based on the progress of
the audit to Chuck Unruh, Grant Perks, and Tim Redman seeking possible
feedback which might facilitate the audit.

The office has sent these interim worksheets to NO Executive Board
members. The suggestion that any EB members were omitted from the
alleged distribution because they are "critical about management" is
totally without merit and appears to violate the AUG (accusation
without proof, alleging motives).

Bill - the issue isn't revolving around the annual financials, it's
the monthly ones that get generated.
Correction, Sevan, it is about the annual financials "the preliminary
end of the year results".
Bill Goichberg is being evasive as usual. The annual audited financial
report is usually not available until at the earliest the day before
the delegates meeting, which this year will be August 8, 2008.
Everybody knows this. In 2007 the official financial statements were
not even ready until a few weeks after the delegate's meetings. What
they and the other board members want now are the preliminary year end
results. They should have been available by June 15. They are
available now. Bill Goichberg has them. He is not giving them to the
other board members. Goichberg says that the other board members
"don't need them" because there will be no discussion of USCF finances
by the board until the meetings in August.

You can see on the BINFOS that the two outside board members have
repeatedly asked for the numbers and are not getting them.

Here is a new Goichberg quote. He writes:

"Perhaps the Finance chair should copy the entire board on all
reports, even those that might mislead the public if publicized,"

So, Goichberg is saying either that certain board members "might
mislead the public" or that certain financial reports "might mislead
the public". In either case, he is imposing censorship on his fellow
board members.

When I was on the board all six board members received the preliminary
end of the year results at the same time.

However, Goichberg got angry when I revealed that the preliminary end
of the year results for that year showed a loss of $57,000.

Perhaps this is why, this year, the preliminary end of the year
results are only sent to those board members who will not "mislead the
public" by disclosing their contents.
