Help bot suggested about the blockade strategy it helped GetClub play
much stronger games now.

I played two games with Beginner vs Rybka and found even Rybka is not
able to get ahead and finish GetClub like it used to earlier. It is
taking longer for Rybka to win against the Beginner Level. As Beginner
is not allowing Rybka to take its pieces easily.

The Games are ending with +10 Moves.

So now human players will find it much difficult to win against the
beginner Level. As Help Bot suggested me how to stop the Blockade
strategy.

Great Thanks for your Valuable Advice.

Today after a long time GetClub Chess was further improved because
of Help Bots Advice.

Now it is very difficult to find further improvements only the Expert
players on this group can help me improve the GetClub Chess further.

With the new improvement I feel now Help Bot will find it very
difficult to battle against the Beginner Level.

If you still find any thing wrong with Beginners Game Play let me
know. If I understand your Techniques I will tell the GetClub Program
to follow them.

It was quite interesting to know that a slight modification can bring
such a great improvement in the game play.

Bye
Sanny

Um, this is called a "sacrifice"; Rybka
deliberately allowed those pawns to be
taken, because it thought it had more
than enough "compensation" in return.

It is not the case that Rybka made a
"tremendous comeback", ala pro
wrestling fights here; to the contrary,
what happened was more akin to the
Rybka program picking GetClub up
over its head, then throwing it out of
the ring and several rows into the
audience... . : >D

I played Rybka against Easy Level. Easy level was 2 pawns up in the
Opening. Still Rybka played very good moves and trap the Easy Levels
Rook.

And win the Game in just 23 moves.

This game shows how difficult it was for Easy Level even after getting
2 pawns up in the opening.

Now I am starting a game against Normal Level, Lets see if Normal
Level can win Rybka or not.

This is undoubtedly a result of the fact that I
am vastly superior to that program, to Rybka.
I know its weaknesses--- yes, all of them, and
precisely how to exploit its many, shall I say,
positional misunderstandings. The truth is, the
only reason I have yet to play a match in which
I give the program pawn-and-move (much like
what lesser players have done, but in reverse),
is that my demands have not been met; for
instance, I want a free double-cheeseburger
after every round, a Coke machine which
dispenses free cans of pop during play, and
most of all, a big-screen TV so I can watch
sports while the program is thinking.

Draws must not count (so I can be sure to
finish with a clean score) and the winner gets
free pizza and beer for a month. Let's face it:
the Rybka team are shaking in their boots
and will do whatever it takes to avoid playing
me such a match.

But back to the blockade strategy I talked
about earlier...

The truth is, trying to *not* allow the center
pawns to get locked up was supposed to
enable the GetClub program to win more
games against *humans*, not against Rybka
or any other chess program!!

Against Rybka, my suggestion is to remove
both of Rybk's Knights, set GetClub to one of
its top levels, and give it White. Also, set
Rybka's contempt factor so it believes it is
winning even when a Queen behind, and
don't let it think of your time! If these safety
measures aren't working, pull the plug and
call me for further instructions.
