Subject: USCF vs. Polgar Case Removed to San Francisco Federal Court
The USCF vs. Polgar case originally filed in the San Francisco
Superior Court has been removed by Susan's attorney to San Francisco
Federal Court.

To find the latest developments in that case, go to
http://www.sfgov.org/site/courts_index.asp
and do a case name search for Polgar, Susan

As of now, all of the Susan Polgar and USCF cases are in federal
courts around the country. Cases are pending in the Southern District
of New York, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the Northern
District of Texas and now the Northern District of California.

I envision a time when the Judicial Panel on Multi-District Litigation
might decide to assign all of these cases to one judge in just one of
these jurisdictions.

Polgar watchers have known all along that if Polgar ever got elected
to the board, lawsuits would start breaking out all over. Susan Polgar
and her husband Paul Truong made constant threats to file lawsuits
starting in 2003, but it was only their election to the board in 2007
that put them in a position to do so.

The USCF vs. Susan Polgar and Gregory Alexander case has been assigned
to United States District Judge Marilyn Patel.

I had a little run-in with Judge Patel 14 years ago so she is not my
favorite judge but she never met me and I am not a party to this case
so it does not matter.

She is an American woman married to a husband from India and hence the
married name Patel.

The latest development in this case is that Susan Polgar's attorney
Matt Gonzalez has objected to the assignment of this case to a
Magistrate Judge, so therefore Joseph C. Spero has been removed as
judge from this case.

Instead, the case will be assigned to a United States District Judge
to be determined by random lottery.

Again, I have no idea what strategic reason Green Matt Gonzalez has
for doing this.
