Subject: Weak engine?
In looking for a free engine with ELO < 2000.
I'm not a very good player and it's boaring to play with 2800 ELO
programs!
I prefer a weak engine than a slow down good one: I'm not looking for
"blunder" but for "porro chess knoledge" :-)

Thanx

Chenard chess. I don't know if it works on Vista but it works on XP.

Good weak play is very difficult to do. One of these days when Rybka
slows down a bit, we may yet find people that do a good job at it.

Chessmaster has done an interesting pass at it, at least superficially,
but there really hasn't been that great a job at it.

There used to be a program called Power Queen, that actually did an
interesting job at attempting the weak play/learning space. But I don't
know if you can both get the program, and a machine that can play it.

GetClub Baby Level plays weaker than 2000

Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

Baby level is very weak and plays in 2 sec / move. I think you that
will match your skills. It is free to play 120 games at GetClub. And
you earn points for winning games.

Then there are handicap levels without knight/ bishop/ rook / Queen.
You may try playing those levels if your rating is below 1500.

However if you are above 1500 then Baby lever is a good Choice.

Many players play with Baby level it is fast and very exciting to win
against the Baby Level.
