Subject: insert elo in CB9 Database
Sorry, I have Mega2006 with big modern players with elo and big past
player without elo (Alekhine, Capabanca, ecc.).
I ask if it is possible to insert for every player manually his past
elo.
Thanks

Yes, you can do this but remember that most players Elo
changes over their career. Unless you want to engage in much drudgery,
for a player with many games and no Elo, you will have to add a single
rating for all the games.

Here is how to do it. In the players index, select the player
you want (Capablanca, Jose Raul for example). The normal method of
pressing F2 will not work, as you get a box to edit the information
but the "set Elo" part is greyed out. So, instead you go to the panel
on the right where all the games are listed. Right click on any game
and choose "Edit - select all." Then press F2 and the box will come up
to edit the player information with the "set Elo" box available. Enter
the desired rating in that box and click OK. That rating will be
assigned to Capablanca for all of his games in the database.

We may see this effect (inser telo) only in the games list, but not in
the player lista. Why?

I have no idea. There are many features in CB which are
implemented in a rather strange way. You just have to learn them
gradually by experience, from one version of CB to the next.

Thanks! It works!
