Ed Trice has modified his dodgy "legallyownlandonmars.com" site to launch an astonishing attack on Rob Mitchell and Edward Labate: www.legallyownlandonmars.com I don't know how long the site will be up as complains have been lodged with the hosting company, so here's a screenshot: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b177/gallicrow/chess/legallyownlandonmars.jpg Has Trice finally cracked?

The www.legallyownlandonmars.com website appears to have been taken down. Congratulations to Rob and all the others who complained to the hosting company (GoDaddy.com). This is what it used to look like: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b177/gallicrow/chess/legallyownlandonmars.jpg Not only does that buffoon Trice finally admit that the case that Edward Labate brought against him was real and that Trice lost it, but he gratuitously insults the judge who heard the case! Fortunately a civc-minded bystander ensured that the judge in question received a printout of the website within hours of Trice putting it up.

The letter, signed by Rob the Robber, is here. It states that Rob is in contact with Bobby Fischer in Iceland, and Fischer has agreed to play a chess match that will be videotaped by Rob. Rob demands to be paid $35,000 in front money for setting up the match and the video taping. It is just such a scam that would lure in anybody not familiar with Fischer. I wonder how many more scams like this have been perpetrated by Rob the Robber. Here is an exact quote from your letter: http://www.gothicchess.com/images/blog/CMM_rev_3.jpg 7. CMM will be paid a one-time $35,000 stipend as an initial infusion of capital to be used for the general operational budget of the current project. 8. CMM, in good faith, will be responsible for obtaining initial player contracts and maintaining player participation but will not be held liable if the participants, for whatever reason, failed to agree of perform. The players who have initially agreed to participate are Mr. Robert James Fischer and Mr. Anatoly Karpov. In case of default by the above named participant, alternate players will be sought by CMM and agreed upon by GCF. Sam Sloan

For the 20 years before she ran for election I consistently supported Susan Polgar. I never wrote even one word against her. If I did not have something good to say about her, I just remained silent. It was only after I was elected to the board in July 2006 that, out of the blue, she and Truong started attacking me. I did not know, and still do not know, what prompted her attacks on me because, until then, I had thought that we were on the best of terms. Sam Sloan

And another thing - Ed Trice has always claimed that www.legallyownlandonmars.com is some sort of prototype and is not intended to be used to fraudulently take money from people. But if you click on the link entitled "Quick Inexpensive Purchase" at the top of the page, you get taken to a Paypal shopping cart which will most definitely take money from you if you complete the transaction.
