Subject: In a game of random chess is there less opportunity to draw ?
|
I have been getting into playing random chess with no castling ..To make it even harder.. I can set individual pieces on any square of my Ivan computer ..So what i have been doing is putting my major pieces in a paper bag and i have tongs so when i grab the pieces i can not feel them with my hands.. I just pulled the pieces out and here is my set up.. White A-I -Bishop B-I - King C-I- Knight D-I- Queen E-I- Rook F-I-Rook G-I- Knight H-I- Bishop Black.......... A-8- Rook B-8- Knight C-8- Knight D-8-Queen E-8-King F-8-Rook G-8-Bishop H-8-Bishop All pawns on their own squares .. Any one want to play this game vs my Ivan computer ? I would say Ivan and Sannys GC are close to the same strength ...Ivan has won a few and lost a few to GC ..... Or does anyone have a computer who wants to play computer vs computer with this set up ? I would like to see HELPBOT Or Taylor Kingston or EJAY or any one on here take the challange play this game. If nobody wants to play i will play it as White , i have never recorded a game before but maybe i should record this game to see how i do .. I have lost twice playing different set ups ..I have noticed Ivan thinking at the highest level from move one because there is no opening book built in to this set up..... If games were set up at random , only major pieces would there be less draws ? That is my question.... Black King is in a bad position right now , just looking where whites queen , rook , rook , seem to be in powerful positions too ..Looking at this position i should win as white BUT in the other games i thought id win too and i lost ..ha ha ha. what do you guys think ?

It just seems to me that every thing is so scrambled up it would be harder to draw.. I will have to think about that

If the setup is such that your King and Queen are far away then your defence will weaken and the opponent will kill your King easily. So descide carefully about where to put your King & Queen. For Example White A-I -King B-I - Knight C-I- Knight D-I- Bishop E-I- Rook F-I-Rook G-I- Bishop H-I- Queen Black.......... A-8- Rook B-8- King C-8- Rook D-8-Queen E-8-Bishop F-8-Knight G-8-Bishop H-8-Knight In above setup Black has more chances of winning. As its Quuen and Rooks are just ahead of White King. At GetClub I cannot setup initial Board You always have to play with Starting game. However you can take a Knight/ Bishop/ Rook / Queen Extra if you want But the Board position will remain same. Yes i lost in that position last time , this new position white has an advantage BUT since Ivan is stronger than me i bet Ivan will win .. I will try my best to beat Ivan , i ,mite record this game and post it here if i play.. I would like to see some who is a better player than me take the challenge , HELPBOT , Taylor Kingston , EJAY , Sam Sloan , ect ect.. Or id like to play this set up vs another computer ..Wish your GC could set up like this . If i play it i mite just drive my DEF pawns straight at the black queen , King and rook . Black is in a tough position to defend .. i have to get ready for work ..by by I do not feel like working but i have too , i guess i should feel lucky i have a job right now .. by by
