Subject: Sleeping Bug removed from GetClub
One bug was sleeping deep inside which caused illegal moves. That was
identified and removed from GetClub Program.

In one game with Taylor Kingston GetClub played illegal move. One bug
was found that may be the reasion of such move. If you still find
errors let me know.

Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

I feel now no more bugs are present in GetClub Chess. However if you
meet any do inform me.

Just like you can never get rid of ants and mosquitoes from your
house, it is very difficult to get rid of sleeping bugs in program.

The Discovery Space Shuttel fall because of a bug in the program and
the Astronauts died because of the Bug.

How carefully you work you can never avoid bugs.

Still I am happy that 99% of the bugs have been removed. You may
continue your games without problem.

Bye
Sanny

But... you've never even heard me sing.

In my bathroom shower there is what they call an
acoustic ceiling, and it makes my voice resonate, like
the famous stars' voices. If only I could play guitar, I
could change my name to something like "Rock Kid"
or maybe "Fobby Marin" and write songs (some of
these guys were lucky to find two words that rhymed,
and simply repeated the same lines, ad nauseum).

Face it: if people will pay to hear Bob Dylan "sing",
there is hope for even a hoarse donkey in this
profession.

Desperation, resulting from a combination of incompetence
and the extreme complexity of crafting a strong chess engine.

Uh-oh; looks like the folks at Consumer Reports are going to have to
be consulted-- at considerable cost to the readership of rgc. Who
among us will pay these costs?

Hmm; these complaints appear to range widely, and certaily aren't
limited to any reasonable definition of "spam".

> I'm sure why you defend him though.

That comment reveals the sort of idiocy which often prevails
here.

I am in fact among those who have most frequently "attacked"
Sanny, although I am also a critical observer of other, far less
competent critics, whom I call wannabees since they fail to meet
even the lowest of standards.

The boy I personally labeled "the boy who cried wolf", due to his
amazing resemblance to that infamous celebrity.

It's astounding just how far off these wild guesses of yours
can be.

My opinion is that even the most rudimentary of purely
materialistic algorithms would destroy Sanny's mess of a
chess engine, provided its logic is correct. These many
errors in program logic are what Sanny calls bugs, and he
believes they are an /integral part/ of all programs-- even
his own "brilliant" one (which I cannot deny).

I note that you have presented no attempt at a rational
definition of "spam", and this comes as no surprise since
you appear lost in a dense mental fog.

As I pointed out before, an objective definition might
be programmed into a cold, calculating machine, which
could theoretically eliminate "spam" here in rgc with no
personal biases. Since you seem incapable of passing
the first test, your complaints are unlikely to produce
any workable solution-- unless you are voted into a
position as absolute dictator of rgc. Good luck.

Its not like that. I hear everyones view. And always thanks when
needed.

I have thanked Help Bot
I have thanked Taylor Kinston
I have thanked Guest
I have thanked Martin Brown
I have thanked Sat-wz
I have thanked Peter

and many more for their contribution and today GetClub plays so strong
because of help from strong players.

Above you said I do not thank now you are saying why Help Bot is
special Boy.

He is the best player at GetClub. If you can beat his ratings and
record I may say same to you.

Go GetClub is open for all and if you have courage win games and show
your strengths.

Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

Very few people have the courage to beat Help Bot Records. So when
Help Bot plays so good naturally I praise him.

If you wish to proove you are better than Help Bot just beat his
Records. I have seen all games of "Help Bot" and after looking at them
I started praising him for his good moves.

Yesterday Phil_In was beaten by Beginner Level. That shows GetClub
plays very strong game.

Got a definition of "spamming" that you are willing to
stick to, even when it doesn't suit your whims?

From what I've seen here in rgc, the term spam has
been used to describe "whatever I don't like", and what
I recognized as "advertizing for personal gain" has oft
been ignored by these net-police types at the same
time, apparently because it was posted by somebody
they did like. That's just silly.

If we must police the alleged spammers, how about
a nice computer program which has no personal bias
whatsoever, and which, like Robocop, metes out the
punishment objectively? (Gordy Roy Parker is, IMO,
the worst offender, so he should be among the first to
be "exorcised".)

Sanny, while obviously deluded in thinking his Web
site is of great interest, at least restricts his self-ads
to the realm of chess. The first junk to go should be
the "spam" which is off-topic here. IMO, that would
include Gordy Roy Parker's spam, and much of Mr.
Sloan's stuff, which has nothing whatever to do with
this forum's topic.

It's not about who likes who; it's about eliminating
"spam" (if we in fact can define it, rationally).

The wannabe critics are incapable of giving any objective
perspective, as seen here. Evidently, the player which
recently split two points equally with GetClub is none
other than self-described FIDE 2450 nearly-an-IM Phillip
Innes, a fine chess player (though admittedly a pathetic
human being).
While this is a very tiny sample size, the fact that it has
gone completely un-noticed by the wannabees tells the
story of witless ostrich-like critters, heads buried deep in
the sand.

Sanny, too, is to blame here, for he invariably tries to
compare his program to, of all things, Rybka. How much
better if he had chosen a more appropriate benchmark,
like say Chessmaster 1.0 or Fidelity Chess Challenger 7.
The chasm between Rybka and GetClub is so vast that
one must struggle to keep in mind that they exist on the
very same planet.

Even 2300+ Taylor Kingston has invented what can
only be described as secret identities, apparently with
the objective of playing games and then only reporting
his successes-- something which requires not using his
well-known handle on GetClub. What can this mean?

At any rate, whatever limited successes may be
achieved by the GetClub program, they are doomed to
be overshadowed by the lies ("hyperbole" to those of
you who are accustomed to wallowing in dishonesty)
posted here in rgc by Sanny. In reaction (or over-
reaction perhaps), wannabe critics will continue to lash
out at him by way of attacks on his chess engine and
Web site.

We still have no good, objective estimate of the ever-
changing GetClub program's real strength. Obviously,
neither Sanny nor the wannabees are even capable of
attempting such a feat.
I recently cleared all the clutter out of my old, slow
and unreliable machine and am a tad reluctant to
"expose" its innards to the GetClub hodgepodge of
binary code and infestation of bugs. I also have yet
to put back together any of my older computers-- a
feat which might allow me to test GetClub against
something more its own speed; something slow and
less refined than the plethora of modern Super-GM
strength chess engines.

That's all for now. (Naturally, Dr. IMnes will weave
us a tale of how he let his five-year-old daughter play
using his handle, Mr. Phil.)

Who cares? This ongoing spamming is anti-social. The little sucker doesn't
want to communicate with the people here. So even if his program was as good
as rybka, it didn't matter.
People just want to punch him in the face.
And I can't blame them.
