Before we vote on this matter, I ask the board to first review a very
serious matter regarding the USCF forums. Without consulting the
board, programmer(s) of the USCF forums decided to enable a feature to
publicly display the IPs of all members of the USCF forums.

Once again, our right to privacy has been compromised. This will put
all of our members at risk because of hackers. This will also create
serious potential problems for the USCF. This is not the first time
programmer(s) of the USCF forums have made important decisions that
can negatively effect the entire federation without consulting the
board.

I strongly believe that this matter has to be resolved before other
issues of the forum can proceed. I cannot vote on this matter until
this problem is fixed.

Best regards,
PT

Is Brian M. aware of Truong's career as "Bob Bennett?" There's a 2003
post with some pretty damning evidence.

Question: In some earlier postings to this forum, Sam Sloan seemed
to have narrowed it down to /either/ Paul Truong /or/ Susan Polgar,
who appear to move as one. Now it seems the verdict has come in
that it /must have been/ Paul Truong, and not Susan Polgar or any
combination of the two. What happened to determine this? What
did I miss that convincingly eliminated any possibility of SP's
involvement? Was Mr. Sloan mistaken before, or are people just
assuming what they want to assume?

I have not posted to the USCF forums, because I do not yet have that
privilege. I registered for the forums today so I could follow and
participate in any discussion, or object to the lack of discussion. My
activation email has not yet been received.

I hope that Paul Truong will learn the meaning of words:

honesty, responsibility, being adult

behind the bars. He is a slow learner hence I hope
that he will get enough time, the more the better,
to learn these phrases well.

Perhaps he already has.

Such a post would be quickly removed lest anyone second the motion.

Ken Sloan has mentioned the conspicuous absence of posts, and clearly
this is due to censorship.

The moderators continue to obstruct any information relating to
charges against Paul Truong.

Oddly enough, the topic of ijuana use is permitted.
Surely this is an illegal activity and way off topic.

Bashing Brian M. seems to still be permitted. Jerry's post may have been
pulled. We'll have to see if the courts can recover the lost ones. :-)

Since I have not seen it stated explicitly before, I call on Paul
Truong to resign. This is one of those perfect cases of hypocrisy.
Truong's ticket campaigned on (among other issues) the need for a more
civil discussion of chess politics, and as leaders who would be
shining examples in the community. Truong is not denying the truth of
the accusations (which seems hard to do), but arguing technicalities.
His behavior was extraordinarily uncivil and embarrassing.

If Truong feels that there is a right to anonymity, he is free to make
this protest and then resign. I have yet to see even any apology for
his actions. I hope that his allies convince him quietly to step down;
there is no way that this issue can be spun so that he will not be
seen as a divisive and petty board member.

Jerry, it would really help if you would post this on the USCF Issues Forum.
Thanks.

A bank robber complains that CCTV violates his right to privacy.

Also the exploding dye packs endangered his life.

Someone else must have registered that gun in my name, after all my
name and address are a mater of public record.

Someone else must have transferred my fingerprints to that gun.
