Subject: Whats left for GetClub Chess?
Now, GetClub is one of the strongest Chess Program in world. Only a
few programs are better than it.

Play Chess at: http://www.GetClub.com/Chess.html

I think, Rybka, Fritz, Toga and Chess Master.are still stronger than
GetClub.

My Question is what is left that needs to be done So that it can win
games against Rybka, Fritz, Toga and Chess Master?

With all the major recent improvements I am happy to give new ratings
to each level.

Beginner: 2250+
Easy: 2350+
Normal: 2450+

Best Player at GetClub "Help Bot" has gone out for some unknown
reasions. So I am not getting any help from players on improving the
GetClub game further. I feel sad that such a good player is missing.

Strong players play a few games and let me know how you feel about the
Chess Game at GetClub.

Is there anyone who can beat the Easy Level and Normal Level?

Beginner: 15 sec/ move [for 90% players.]
Easy: 60 sec / move [for Tournament Players.]
Normal: 4 min / move [for Top rated Players.]

Please check http://www.sedatchess.com/ratings.html When you get
your program playing 40 moves in 10 minutes. Then come back and tell
us how great it is.

Apparently you have forgotten the four games I have played between
Beginner and a 1300-rated Chessmaster personality named Lacey. The
results of those games show that Beginner is WORSE than Lacey, and so
your rating of 2300 is obviously a lie.

Beginner is rated around 1200.

I also played a couple of games with Easy (which took over an hour, so
I'm never going to do it again). These results gave me a rough
estimate of about 1800-1900 for Easy.

So, in other words, you either have absolutely no idea how weak your
engine is, or you're just lying.

Which is it?

Beginner is 2250+ yesterday. But today a few things were improved
recently. So I feel now you the new ratings are.

Beginner: 2300+
Easy: 2400+
Normal: 2500+

Playing one game prooves nothing. Atleast 3-4 games against a level
are needed to get accurate rating.

My ratings are based on the games I played against other commercial
progrtams.

I find Easy Level defends itself very well.

Play 2 games against Easy Level I am sure you will get a very strong
opponent. And its high Chances that Easy level win against you.

Yesterday Easy Level beat SamSloan. So now more people are accepting
that GetClub plays strongly.

It is true that GetClub won the game and Sanny deserves full credit

No, Patzer. White plays 18.Ba6 not 18.Qxg4+. Your position is lost
even if you don't overlook the one-move mate. But overlooking that you
lose the Q is at least consistent. Sloan, you are a walking, crawling joke.

If the position is simple Easy plays in 40 sec / move. If there is a
complex position it may think till 100 sec /move.

There is a upperlimit of 320 sec. So Never ever it will take more that
320 sec.

But when a game is complete you take average of all moves you will
find Easy Level taking on average 60 sec / move.

Funny.

Sanny, you said in the first post in this thread that Easy takes 60
seconds per move.

But actually, that's still incorrect. In my three games against Easy,
it averaged about 100 seconds per move. Which is why I'll never bother
to play Easy again.

Your Bishop Gambit for a pawn worked.

Since you are a strong player you should have tried the Easy Level.
Beginner takes just 10 sec / move. While Easy will take 40 sec / move
and play much stronger game.

If Beginner was 2300 then it should be stronger than me, so why would I
need to play an even stronger level?

Of course if you'd like to admit that you're just lying about the
strength of the program or making its alleged strength up despite all
evidence to the contrary, I might consider playing a stronger level.

You should expect to be measured by your own claims, you know...

Well, at least only countably many.

Can you actually quote any chess programs that are only as good or worse
than GetClub? Every chess program I know is better.

Look at this desaster from today, watch how GetClub manages to loose
super-quickly as white:
1. d4 d5 2. e3 f5 3. Nf3 Nf6 4. Bd3 e6 5.Ne5 Nbd7 6. Nc3 c6 7. O-O Bd6

Poor tactical calculation, poor strategic play.

Sort of. Yes, it was a drawn game and a "good fight" until Lacey made
a blunder on move 48 and gave the win to Beginner. Beginner actually
had a mate in 4 on move 55, but instead required 11 moves just to give
stalemate. This is not the behavior of an engine that is rated
"2250+".

You seem to have forgotten the previous games that I played between
Lacey and Beginner. Lacey is a personality in Chessmaster who is rated
1308 USCF. I have played three games between Beginner and Lacey, and
Beginner has not won any of them (two wins and one draw for Lacey).

In terms of giving a rating to Beginner, it is completely irrelevant
that it was up a Queen. The only thing that matters is the result of
the game, which was a draw.

Today GetClub beat SamSloan. Easy Level win the game against

If the player is real SamSloan then Easy was playing very strongly.

So you can see how SamSloan was beaten by Easy Level in just 16 moves.

SamSloan claims he is better than Taylor Kingston. And Easy Level win
the game. So to Conclude Easy Level plays better than both SamSloan

So my Ratings below are correct.

Your game was a Stalemate and Beginner was a Queen up. Whats your
Rating? Atleast give that much to Beginner Level.

Most people say Rybka is the strongest Program available on the
market.

Has anyone done a definitive analysis as to which is the strongest
commercially available chess program available in the world today.

Sanny, I would VERY conservatively guess that there are at least 100
programs better than your engine at tournament time controls. The
number might actually be closer to 200.

A good start would be to write an engine that doesn't give stalemate
when it's up a queen and a pawn....

Or perhaps your engine doesn't understand "stalemate"? :-p Will it be
"twice improved" if you include it?

Perhaps if I tell you for the tenth time, you might believe me.
Beginner does not play better than 1300.

I'm getting a sense of deja vu from that last number.

Is this "Sanny" some sort of deranged AI experiment? Why in the world does
he think his silly little Java app is so strong that "only a few programs
are better than it"? His web site is a joke, he is completely clueless
when it comes to understanding chess, and his "chess program" plays only
slightly better than Boris from 30 years ago.

I love how he invents new ratings every time he makes his program play 1
less incredibly stupid move.
